Participate in the realization of a unique art event in space!
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Cosmic Dancer - the 1st three-dimensional artwork designed for and sent to a space habitat in 1993 by helping to realize the Cosmic Dancer 2.0 in 2023. This is your chance to participate in creating spaceart history and owning a valuable art work.
The cost of the Cosmic Dancer 2.0 art intervention has not yet been determined. Any cost will include the price of transport, the preliminary prototyping, mission preparation, the communication activities and its realization on the International Space Station (ISS) or the Chinese Tiangong space station either by sending a digital file and 3D printing there or by launching it on a rocket and the deployment during a spacewalk.
To kick-off the realization of the Cosmic Dancer 2.0, I am offering two initial limited editions ofCosmic Dancer 2.0 3D printed sculptures to the first supporters.
1.) Limited edition of 200 Cosmic Dancer 2.0 3D sculptures each one measureing approximately 6.5 x 6 x 7.6 cm for the price of CHF 150.- Swiss Francs (approx. US $150) + packaging & shipping (CHF 25.-)
2.) Limited edition of 100 Cosmic Dancer 2.0 3D sculptures each one measureing approximately 9.1 x 8 x 10.4 cm for the price of CHF 300.- Swiss Francs (approx. US $300) + packaging & shipping (CHF 30.-)
Each Cosmic Dancer 2.0 3D is printed in polished white nylon plastic similar to the material that will be used on the space station. The sculptures are being professionally printed.The geometric shape is the same as the original Cosmic Dancer and the same as the one that will be realized in space on a space station.
Each Cosmic Dancer 2.0 3D printed sculpture is signed and numbered. Also, a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity is included.
